Explain My Surgery was developed for the inquisitive patient who wants to make an informed decision regarding their upcoming surgical procedure. We have tried to exhaustively go through each procedure, outline the surgical steps and provide a comprehensive list of the associated risks and benefits to each one. In order to access the information, your surgeon must register on the site and give you a password that will allow you to view your procedure at your own pace in the privacy of your own home. When you are done, you will receive a certificate of completion and a copy of your answers for further discussion with your surgeon if you desire. Physicians

In your busy practice, it may be difficult to spend the time necessary to help each patient understand the risks and benefits of surgery. For an annual fee, your patients will be given a password and unlimited access to the information found on Explain My Surgery. When they have finished each module, you will be sent a copy of their certificate of completion along with the test questions and results for further in office consultations.
